Jon Alford – 4/16 CMC Update

This past week was a step up for me in the way of affiliate site work.

The About me page was updated (previously bare) so that helps. I wrote up a short blurb and inserted an affiliate product at the end. Kind of sloppy but I got a kick out of it; of course I’ll track clicks (WP Zon builder does this for me).

My five product reviews were also completed and now I have some content I can link to that I put together. All the other posts on my site have been generated by WP Zon builder as it simple pulls in product data from Amazon.

Then I went onto Fiverr.com and I’ll be using the services of a backlink builder. More details to follow on that one. The user is well-reviewed, does high volume, and I figure for $5 it won’t hurt if only a few more links (out of the several hundred offered) are indexed. These are likely going to be on lower-tier article directories; not exactly authoritative domains.

I also wrote articles strictly for backlink building and will use Blog Blueprint to submit these. Now, since the site is new I will be drip feeding these twelve (12) articles out throughout the week. My reason behind this is due to BB links are on PR3-PR5 domains so I don’t feel comfortable building high-PR links rapidly to such a new site.

Recently I established a Facebook account that is tied to this project. I’ll strive to maintain a balance that will keep my main project and this affiliate one separate (and have it all make sense).

We’ll see what new adventures the coming week will bring. Could a video be in the cards for GolfCartAccessoriesHQ.com? Who knows 🙂
