Well, let’s face it, kids – the honeymoon is over. Our sites are built, our content is written, and now all that’s left is to get out there and do the work of promoting our affiliate minisites.
The goal this week was to focus on slightly more advanced promotion strategies, including things like Web 2.0 marketing, article marketing, Facebook/Twitter marketing and so on. I love these strategies (they’re pretty much free!) and I owe a lot of my success to deploying them to promote my affiliate marketing minisites.
So why does it feel so difficult to get moving on projects that we were excited about just a few weeks ago?
I’m not going drill into this too much here, since most of the Challenge participants seem to be addressing the idea in their weekly update posts. And not to toot my own horn, but please check out my weekly update post, because I think it’s a really honest take on a problem that a lot of us experience, but don’t discuss openly.
So read the posts, but then I want to hear from you. Do you struggle with maintaining motivation and consistency with your internet business? Do you have any words of wisdom to share with other people who are struggling right now?
Sarah Russell – No summary, just read the post. It’s a very honest take on motivation struggles – so honest, in fact, that I got a little nervous before hitting the “Publish” button (which is usually a good sign).
Ben Donahower – Ben struggled with motivation, but at least he manged to get some work done on this week’s topics. He has some really interesting thoughts on Twitter from a recent webinar, so check it out.
Dan McConnell – Okay, I take everything back – Dan actually got some work done this week 🙂 He also points out the interesting dichotomy that what one “expert” in the IM industry recommends, another one cautions against. Check out his post for more info!
Jon Alford – Jon has some great words of encouragement in his update this week, which I really appreciate and highly recommend you check out if you’ve been lagging at all this week like me.
